Kodynas internal electric motor and motor controller program passes a major milestone as the ultra-compact motor with integrated controller shows very good results. With a motor stator weight of approx. 2 kgs, rotor of approx. 1,8 kgs and a motor controller < 0,2 kgs, the test results showed > 10kW shaft power; i.e. more than 5kW/kg. Further development will bring the concept motor with integrated controller up to 8kW/kg. Due to the compact motor and controller design, a power density of up to 17kW/litre motor volume can be achieved. The development program will continue out 2021.
