As part of Norway’s effort to reduce CO2 emissions, Kodyna engaged in a Pilot-e program focusing on zero-emission construction sites.

  • Concrete transport, mixing and pumping causes significant emissions, in fact all the concrete mixer trucks and mobile concrete pumps are responsible for a CO2 contribution of approx 45.000 ton per year.
  • To reduce this footprint Kodyna joined forces with Liebherr, Norbetong/Heidelberg Group, Statsbygg and Bellona.
  • Kodyna developed an electric retrofit kit enabling fully electric operation when the mixer truck is at the construction site.
  • The first electric mixer truck was delivered and put into operation in June this year.
